The first venture to launch is The Late Show with Ryan Tubridy, a dedicated YouTube channel. This channel will delve into the lives of prominent figures from film, music, sports, and television. Imagine insightful discussions with journalists, authors, and experts who knew or studied these stars. The content will be drawn from News UK’s extensive archive.
Derek Brown, Director of Digital for News Broadcasting, highlighted that this project aims to fill a gap online for long-form storytelling about well-known personalities. He also mentioned that Ryan is the perfect host to present these lives in a comprehensive way.
To broaden its reach, The Late Show with Ryan Tubridy will also air on Times Radio, where Ryan will make additional contributions.
But that's not all! Ryan is also developing a new program for talkSPORT. This is particularly interesting as the network is expanding its presence across various platforms, including radio, apps, connected TV, and social media. This year is expected to be busy, especially with major sporting events.
And this is the part most people miss... In Ireland, Tubridy will continue his relationship with the Onic network. He will host a refreshed weekend show across Dublin’s Q102, Cork’s 96FM, Limerick’s Live 95, and LMFM. This show will combine speech-led content with music on Sunday mornings.
Sean Barry, Onic Managing Director, stated that the new show would capitalize on Ryan’s strengths with a speech-led offering complemented by perfect Sunday morning music.
