Pimblett is primarily recognized for his grappling abilities, having achieved three submission victories in the UFC alone, in addition to his recent knockout of Chandler through ground strikes. However, judging by the reactions on social media, fans were not impressed with his striking skills.
One particularly harsh commenter stated, "There’s a 17-year-old kid at my workplace who does a bit of boxing training and has infinitely better shadow boxing technique than what I just witnessed." Another fan remarked, "If he doesn’t employ his grappling skills, he’s going to get knocked out." Yet another critic expressed dissatisfaction with the fight overall, saying, "That’s ‘championship’ level if I’ve ever seen it. What are we doing here? Neither fighter deserves the belt at this moment. Justin struggles to string three words together. Paddy is cool, but let's be real; there are at least 30 fighters who could take him down at any time. He’s not a champion."
