KEMP BACK TO COMPLETE LIONS
ROWE Motor Oil Premiership
LEICESTER have completed their line-up for the 2026 Premiership by announcing the return of former treble British Under-19 Champion Drew Kemp. The 23-year-old has been a key player for the Lions since their promotion to the top-tier in 2023, although last season was his first full year with the club.
Kemp expressed his excitement about returning to Leicester, acknowledging his mistakes from the previous year but confident in his ability to improve. He stated, "I'm thrilled to be back at Leicester. I had a decent year last season, but I won't hide the fact that I made several errors. Stewart (Dickson) has given me another chance, and I'm eager to return to Leicester to correct those mistakes. I know I can achieve that."
Despite the team's second-place finish in the last two years, Kemp is determined to bring a league title to Leicester this season, which would be a significant achievement for the club. He said, "Coming second isn't our goal, but I'm committed to winning the league title with Leicester this year, and it would be a great accomplishment for the team."
Kemp will join Rising Star Dan Gilkes as a reserve, with the top five positions occupied by Ryan Douglas, Sam Masters, Nick Morris, Dan Thompson, and Kyle Howarth.
